M
y name is Max Neuriesser and I’ve been taking pictures for about three years. I have been skiing my whole life, and pretty much enjoying every moment of it. I've developed my skiing background as an alpine skier during my whole life and I followed up with studies at a racing ski academy in Torsby at the age of 16. I started my last year at the ski academy this fall. Skiing has made me everything that I’m today and when I take a look at the life I’ve build I would not change a thing. I believe that skiing opened up my eyes to become a photographer and I feel inspired to take I photo where ever I go. Fantasy has no limits and to photograph a moment and make it your own is one of the most fabulous feelings I know.It all started whit a knee injury right in the middle of my ski career. I looked for a hobby that still contained skiing and I found photographing. I started out by only taking ski photographs for about a year. But I learned and got better every time I was out shooting. So far I have had the great benefit of travelling a lot and that also gave results of great photo conditions.
Skiing is a sport with a lot of action and that is what I love about skiing. It makes my heart pump to the fullest and my body gets filled with adrenaline.
But when you get action you have to be aware of injuries.
This year (2009) I did my fourth knee surgery and I have come to realize that my skiing career is over. The toughest decision that I’ve ever have had to overcome is my ending career as a ski racer. It is hard to give up something that you always been fighting for to become and than all of a sudden accept the fact that there is an end.My life will always be about skiing and the life around it. And I know that I can create new goals in my life and I will start by taking my photographing to a new level and I will give it all in to become a successful photographer!
I’ve also been having the opportunity to follow Nisse Schmidt as his photo assistant to learn from the best and experience the life as a photographer.
I am an all-round photographer and you can find all of my categories under the portfolio link. I hope you enjoy my art ass much as I do and I’d be glad to share it all with you. Enjoy!
Live your life to the fullest!
